Bringing a 1978 Fender Telecaster back to live is like bringing back, erm, 1978.. Imagine you're ten years old. You buy a Fender Telecaster because your biggest influencer (not on Instagram, dummy, Instagram didn't exist back then; we're talking about a musical influencer, someone who actually changes your life. But wait a second – we have an Instagram account) is Andy Summers. So far, so good. And then you completely fuck up your guitar. Literally. You make space for a Humbucker on the neck position. You nail a London Underground metal plate on the body. You put a Pink Panther sticker on the back of your guitar.. You do everything you shouldn't do to a guitar like this. And then you regret it.
